High-Performance Media Filtration with V2000 Multiport Valve
The Poolrite S Series Media Filters are engineered to deliver dependable, high-rate filtration for swimming pools and spas, combining robust filter construction, Poolrite's specialised underdrain technology and the Poolrite V2000 Multiport Valve into one integrated filtration system.
Available in S-5000, S-6000 and S-8000 models, the range provides different filtration capacities to suit a variety of pool installations. Each system is designed around efficient water movement through a deep media bed, helping capture suspended contaminants while providing straightforward operation and effective backwashing.
Advanced Poolrite Media Filtration
During normal filtration, the pool pump delivers water under pressure to the V2000 Multiport Valve, which directs it into the top of the filter through the overdrain diffuser. Water then travels down through the filtration media before entering the underdrain and returning to the pool.
As suspended contaminants pass through the media bed, larger particles are captured and retained. Poolrite's filtration process also describes how some smaller particles can acquire an electrostatic charge as they pass through the media, encouraging them to cluster together so they can subsequently be captured by the filter bed.

A key component of the S Series filtration system is the Poolrite V2000 Multiport Valve.
Developed following several years of Poolrite research and development, the V2000 is designed to provide lower restriction to water flow, reduced operating noise and easy operation, while requiring no routine valve maintenance.
The V2000 gives the operator six essential filtration functions from a single control valve:
